Recipe for a Chick Flick

 

I am sure this is going to get my arse kicked all around the place and am writing it with more trepidation than required. I am writing about the great genre of Chick Flicks. Note that I am not referring to it as RomCom as Romantic Comedies can go either way with the Hero or Heroine being the central character but the Genre of Chick flicks have a certain strain and flow that can only make it a chick flick

The American Film Institute has released its top 10 movie list for various genres. Check them out on the site below

The Genres that have been listed are :

  4. Sports
  5. Mystery
  6. Fantasy
  7. Sci-Fi
  8. Gangster
  9. Courtroom Drama

Sadly there are no Genres like Drama, Action & we do not see some really good movies. But still a really good list. You can also see lots of data about the films on the site as well as clippings from the movie, et al.

Definitely worth a read.

Back in Business Baby…

I have had such a bad few weeks that my blog looks like shite now with no updates for a long lone time. I also attribute it to sheer laziness on my part. The other thing was the month was so depressing and hence no mood to write. I will now get back my old discipline and start to reel off stuff and try to get this off the ground. I mean, there are fans of mine waiting patiently and expecting more pearls of wisdom from me and I cannot short charge them :-)

How to turn into a Psychopath ??

As you grow older in this modern age of communication, with information at your fingertips, with the world becoming smaller, flat and what not, you tend to think you have seen it all, you have lived many lives & at this juncture in your life, world and particularly movies come and kick you in the jaw and tell you to sit up and take notice.

I have had an instance like that today morning and it has left me in tatters. I am a mere shell of my old self and it’s with a lot of difficulty I write this post. This post is like a telling tale and I only allow the strong of heart to read on and progress. The weaker ones, please log off, have a bath, dress in new clothes and try not to dwell on this too much. It will only weaken you further. Those of the more tough kind, read on….

Tashan - No Tashan in it

Am still in a haze & I saw the movie about 2 hours back. My head is inundated with questions and I am wrestling my mind to return to normalcy. Yes it’s a Yash Raj film and it’s only about style. The director for heavens sake was the writer of Dhoom. So my expectation levels were a little low but the star cast was big and there was also a lot of talk in the media about this & since I need to see a new release every week, I had to see it.

U Me Aur Hum….WTF ??

U, Me Aur Hum & my one acronym for what I felt at the end of the movie should pretty much make the title of this blog. If some of you did not get what WTF is, then please send me a mail and I shall espouse on this acronym and why I used it here. Why the F@C# did I use it here? U, Me Aur Hum came from the same crew that made Hindustan Ki Kasam, Raju Chacha and I did not have too many expectations when I went into the theater but the movie was beyond the movies I earlier specified.
